July 2025Mixed Bag
I would fully echo Maksym's review. This was an experience with good and bad. The good: - the staff was very friendly throughout the hotel and the beach club - the Scape park was excellent and the highlight of our trip (I have a 17 and 20 year old) - the restaurants in the Marina were incredible, but realize this is NOT included in the all-inclusive cost - the spa was very nice with a brandnew water therapy experience that we did multiple times throughout the week - Third Home members are part of the "club" which provides 50% off of spa and excursion prices, making those things a very good value - The beach club was nice (even despite the incredible volume of sargassum), but is a 10 minute shuttle ride The Bad: - The included food and drink was pretty much awful, so it is frustrating to have to pay an all-inclusive fee for something that we did not use after day 3. Basically just the same food made with poor ingredients rotated to different themed buffets each night. - The hotel doesn't have enough beach/pool towels. You have to check them out at the front desk and most days they didn't have a towel for each of the four of us. They would eventually get us one, but seems like something they should have a plethora of - Units are clean but very dated. Our bathroom door was so warped it wouldn't come close to closing and the closet had shelves that were broken with exposed nails and screws - Beach shuttle was pretty random (not following the published schedule) so be prepared to do some waiting So overall a fun time away with the family, but we will choose a different location for our next trip. ”

April 2025Could be better, Huge potential
This resort is a rebranded version of the older Ancora Resort, and the signs of age are visible as you walk through the property. Overall, it was a mixed experience, and we don’t plan to return. Highlights: Excellent Room Service: Our room was always impeccably clean, and drinks were replenished daily — great job by housekeeping. Staff Shout-Out: A big thank you to Zsolt, Lewis and Julian for going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Excursions: The private boat trip and Scape Park excursion were amazing. (Skip the Fun Park — it doesn’t compare to Scape Park.) Spa: The deep tissue massage was solid, though the hot stone massage wasn’t quite to my wife’s liking. Lowlights: Food Quality & Value: The food was mediocre, and dining options rotated among three on-site restaurants. The stay requires an all-inclusive package, which cost around $500 per day for our family of four (2 kids) — a poor value considering we barely used it. We preferred dining out at nearby spots like Drago Grill, Noah, and Sanctuary, but those aren’t covered in the all-inclusive. Dated Villas: We stayed in a two-bedroom villa that showed serious wear — cracked walls, water damage on the ceilings, and poorly draining showers. The entire space needs a major refresh. Towel Policy: Getting beach towels turned into a bit of a saga. You’re given one towel card per person and must trade it in, then return the towel to the lobby afterward. Not a huge issue, just an odd and mildly amusing system to be aware of. Final Thoughts: We’d rate the experience 3 stars. It was a pleasure meeting some wonderful staff members, but the resort still has a long way to go to live up to its potential. With better management and some much-needed updates, it could truly shine. ”

March 2025Unique spot away from the Punta Cana Bustle
We enjoyed our stay at Cap Cana. Very spacious, well appointed rooms. Excellent service and food---especially for an all inclusive. Very friendly staff and fun entertainment. Beautiful property- but this place is quiet and for more mature couples.”
