October 2024Wonderful Stay - Would Do It Again!
We loved the home, the pool and back patio, the community, and the entire vacation. The home is quite nice and loved having a full kitchen and dinning room, a nice TV room, and access to a washer/dryer. I withheld a five star rating because the home could have been cleaner, not everything worked as advertised (one of the TVs), and it took a bit to figure out how to work the individual AC units. It took about a day to get all the space we were using sufficiently cooled to enjoy it. After that, it was a haven from the heat/humidity during the hottest part of the day.”

September 2024Wonderful low-key getaway!
We had a great time at this house as we continue to explore more and more of this island. The host was responsive and the home very welcoming. ”

August 2024Very Personal Space
We visited Puerto Rico for 9 days. We were scheduled for 7 days at this property. Prior to our arrival, the owner was great about communicating with me. We had the house manual, a pin for where the house is located, and recommendations for local places to go in Rincon. Her communication was great! When Hurricane Ernesto arrived, she checked on us and asked us to put down towels to absorb the water and assured us that the home's solar system would help keep the electricity on. We appreciated this communication and her care for us. We did weather the storm with quite a bit of rain seeping into the home through doors and windows and ultimately lost electricity with no assurance that it would come back on for the remainder of the trip. It was not the owner's fault that a hurricane arrived, but we did make the decision to move to a hotel after 3 nights at this property. A few items to note about this property when booking it... First, the home is very personalized. When we arrived, there were shoes (including those for a Peloton), family photos/art, toys/books, vitamins, open bottles of shampoo/conditioner and partially used bars of soap. Closets held personal items. It felt like stepping into a stranger's home and was uncomfortable for our group. We were expecting the residence to be more of a second home or Airbnb-type space. The photos we relied on while booking the property didn't represent what we found when we arrived. Second, this home had ants in both the kitchen and primary bathroom. We spent a considerable amount of time over the three days trying to keep the ants under control. While I can appreciate PR has plenty of bugs, the level of ants was beyond what it needed to be. And, we didn't experience this level of pests at either of the other locations where we stayed. Third, the location of this home is interesting. While it's very close to the beach and Rincon, the "neighborhood" wasn't what we were expecting. There is a vacant lot behind the home (where a building once stood). The rooftop deck has a view of the ocean that would be gorgeous if there wasn't a home in front of it that was leaning into the Caribbean Sea. Chickens and cats frequented the yard and surrounding areas. Lots and lots of mosquitoes that seemed impervious to any type of bug spray. Last, be sure you understand the full amenities of the home. We were surprised that we couldn't find a coffee maker especially since PR has amazing coffee!”
