June 2025The perfect cottage stay
We can't thank Pat & Emilie enough for a truely wonderful stay at their amazing cottage. I grew up in Canada but have lived overseas for 30 years and wanted to give my kids the traditional Canadian cottage experience that I grew up with and this had it all. A huge lakeside dock with canoes, paddle boards, SUPs, floaties. A lakeside campfire for roasting marshmallows, s'mores, and jiffy pop. A chest full of games and puzzles. And Pat was super helpful helping us find a rental place for a pontoon boat and jet ski for towing the kids for hours and hours of tubing, wakeboarding and waterskiing. So many memories made, with the youngest getting up on skiis for the first time. We took a trip in the pontoon boat down to the marina at the other end of the lake for huge ice creams served up by the owner who was full of entertaining stories. The lake is super quiet, with very little boat traffic other than us and a couple of fisherman so we felt quiet safe doing the traditional distance lake swim. It was just perfect. The house itself was fantastic. It accommodated our party of 8 perfectly. The kitchen had all the bells and whistles with high end appliances and the commercial grade ice maker was fantastic for filling their oversize cooler on the deck. The master suit was lovely and big and the bed was so so comfortable. You sink and and don't want to get up. All up it was a wonderfully relaxing stay and would highly recommend to anyone wanting the traditional canadianna experience. ”
