Relaxing Stay Under the Los Cabos Sun

We had a pleasant stay during our first exchange with ThirdHome. The condo was spacious, clean, well-equipped, and confortable. The on-site staff was especially courteous and helpful. We also loved the destination of Los Cabos, with its stunning scenery and relaxing atmosphere. As this was our first experience with ThirdHome, we were curious and excited to discover what the program had to offer, given its reputation and the many positive reviews we had read. We understand that the photos shown are for reference only and that the assigned unit may differ from the one pictured. That said, we were disappointed with the unit we were assigned. While it did offer a view of the sunset, it was also located near the busy main road and the building’s air conditioning system, which contrasted with the peaceful setting suggested by the photos overlooking the lagoon. The location of the assigned unit can make a notable difference and, in some cases, be disappointing. For the listing, we recommend adding more photos of the condo’s interior. Additionally, for those interested in golf, it’s worth noting that the prices are particularly high. We were also approached daily by staff encouraging us to attend a presentation of their residential project in exchange for discounts on golf and meals. This repeated sales approach slightly detracted from the relaxing experience we were looking for. Overall, we had a great week, but it’s important to have a clear understanding of what to expect — that’s what led us to give a 3-star rating. ”

Love staying at the Diamante!

The Diamante is one of our favorite places to stay when in Cabo. The one bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room to host all our friends for dinner and games. The staff is very kind and helpful. Will definitely going back. ”

First time at Diamante and was impressed with the Room, beddings, loved the Kitchen! The large open floor plan creates the perfect space for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. Awesome to the PGA Tournament set up around the Resort Club. The Lagoon is the coolest thing ever. Cant wait to be back!”

Beautiful Resort, Amazing Staff

Loved this resort. Spacious rooms. Ocean building pool was particularly lovely, attentive staff, decent food, courtesy shuttle between the 3 resort buildings adds a nice variety of scenery and architecture. Low Density. PGA tournament onsite. Cons: require life jackets on the lagoon when on a paddle board or boat. Considering guests swim across it and there is a lifeguard on a paddle board all the time this is ridiculous overkill, uncomfortable, and unnecessary. The $20 per person per day rate to use the gym is over the top. As with every other resort we have been to this should be included in the daily resort fee per room. Just purchased by Tafer so not sure what changes may come. We enjoyed our stay. We do recommend a visit. ”

Great property - but….

This is a great property that is undergoing major changes. The resort was recently sold to TAFER, but the golf entities were not. This has caused some confusion and mixed messages from the staff as they work thru the transition. There were additional charges never before presented ( ie an “environmental daily fee”) and much higher and new prices for golf (mandatory caddy fees, doubling of cart fees, 40% plus increase in the cost for a round of golf) Additionally Diamante is hosting a PGA event in a couple of weeks which has one of the two 18 hole courses closed for an extended period of time. Hopefully the future will be brighter for guests to Diamante. It’s got great bones- the new owners need to certain they don’t ruin the guest experience. ”

Got this 1 bedroom on a keyless special and it was a fantastic deal. Huge space with easy access to the lagoon. The place was nicely furnished/appointed. We were here with 2 other families and had a great time. ”

Beautiful place with so much to do.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Diamante. We stayed there because it was convenient, given that we were close to the wedding venues we were attending. We wish we had more time to enjoy all the amenities. Staff, service and chauffeur to/from the airport were all top-notch. ”

Great Relaxing vacation

The place is clean, well furnished, spacious with a great kitchen and all utensils you might need. The pool/lagoon is great, and it has great fitness areas. Definitely a great spot if you are vacationing with kids or like to golf. The only drawback is that it is a little far from downtown Cabo. ”

Enjoyable Stay

All was well, the accommodations, the entertainment team at the Lagoon and the time we spent at the Beach/Ocean Club pool. Our house keeper was superb. We was so pleasant and enjoyable to speak to and had a pleasant and warm demeanor. Only disappointment was I was not able to use my remaining spa certificates from an earlier stay in May, as this stay was via Third Home Reservation. I intentionally saved 2 certificates to use for my August stay not knowing I would not Be allowed as the Aug stay was thru Third Home versus using one of my Diamante weeks. I am very new to the Diamante Program and felt that Management could n should have issued me two complimentary vouchers for the Spa as this was unknown to me. My Third Home Stay was superb. ”

Check in

The stay overall after checking in went well. The check in process was horrible since I was stuck with a room facing nothing. When the rooms are reserved with 3rd home a room type should be given. A surprise is not good. I also found out that my golf passes were no good during this time. not good”

Extraordinary Place

Diamante is incredible. Beautiful! Golf is amazing and so is the staff. The lagoon is great for SUP and kayaking. If you're with a good size group, make sure to book a bonfire on the beach with smores. I highly recommend this resort.”

Diamante at TRC

LOVE Diamante! But..... we have now stayed in this particular unit a couple of times and it apparantly is the one you get when you book it through Thirdhome. The location is not ideal in that you are right over the parking area at the TRC so it is loud with a lot of traffic and the master bedroom looks over an unsightly view of the A/C system for the building. The interior of the unit itself is clean enough though it has been completely stripped of any decor that brings the wow factor. I mean BARE. I am sure because it is only a rental or Thirdhome unit. I can see why they were not able to sell it out in the timeshare program. BAD location. Now something positive :-). After all the traffic for the most part is gone and the day is wrapping up, the balcony off the living room has a FANTASTIC view of the sunset over the ocean. I will wrap up by saying even a bad location at Diamante is still a win. ”

We enjoyed this condo for its modern finishes, and its location in both being convenient to the center of everything, yet private and quiet to relax. ”

Great week in Cabo

The 1 Bedroom condo was great. Very spacious and all the supplies to cook our own meals. The 1 BR actually has two bathrooms and a murphy bed in the living room if you wanted to bring two more people. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The location is far from most other things, but it was nice to be remote. We recommend renting a car at the airport and driving there as it's a long ways from the airport. The water lagoon is incredible. On property they just opened a Nobu Hotel and Restaurant. We ate there for dinner one night and it's amazing. ”

Pictures did not depict AT ALL where we were housed

I would give this place 5 stars if I did not feel that the listing was misleading. At the very bottom of this listing they put the following: "Please note that the photos included herein are representative of Diamante and not the actual unit you may be reserving. Interiors, views, layout and decor will vary by unit." There was not one picture on this listing that resembled where we ended up. We were under the impression (from being there before and the pictures listed) that we would be put up in one of the cabanas on the lagoon. We got there to find that we were in a condo on the main level around the corner that looked out into a lawn/garden. There was not one picture on the website that was even similar to where we were housed. It is fine that each listing may vary, but we felt like you should have listed the pictures of ALL options that were probable, This felt negligent, deceitful, or like maybe we just got 'stuck somewhere else' at the last minute. Overall, Diamante is a fabulous place with fabulous service. However, I don't think this listing was a fair or accurate listing. ”

Great Vacation

Very Good Vacation at the Diamante Resort Club. The one bedroom is very spacious and the furniture is up to date. The kitchen is well equipt if you decide to dine in, and if you decide to eat out, the food at the Dunes is excellent. The salt water Lagoon is wonderful and has a lot of activities you could partake in. Diamante has a great gym with professional trainers and the latest equipment. We enjoyed the Dynamic Hatha Yoga, Mat Pilates, Barre, and Spinning classes. Customer service and the staff is great. On the negative side, the beach is far and not swimmable and there is a lot of construction going on. The wifi connection is not the best I recommend renting a car because Diamante is far from the airport and downtown. We definitely will go back. ”

I have stayed at Diamante a few times, and as incredible as this resort is...the service is on another level. The staff is AMAZING! It doesn’t get much better than Diamante in Cabo San Lucas.”

Great Time at Diamante

My family of three stayed in a room with a great ocean view in the Dunes Residnece Club which is located by their restaurant and bar area. The decor of the restaurant and bar area are really nice. As almost everywhere in Cabo kids are also welcome in Diamante's restaurant and bar area. (Sad to say but this is not the case in California) We ate at the property just about every day for breakfast, lunch or dinner and the food was great and reasonable priced for all meals. We have a 3 year old daughter and she enjoyed playing with the other kids at the pool located on the second floor near our room. We also enjoyed using the huge lagoon for the kayaks and standup paddle boards. Our daughter liked everything about the lagoon except the water was too salty for her eyes so if you have a little one you may want them to wear goggles. We will definitely stay at Diamante again when we return to Cabo.”
