Scotch Highlands Home at The Mountain Club at Cashiers

Located near Cashiers, North Carolina and overlooking the lushly-forested Sapphire Valley, the Mountain Club is considered one of North Carolina’s most treasured spots, just steps away from golf, tennis, swimming, hiking, and exploring the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains.

Residences at the Mountain Club were designed with vacation living in mind. Open common areas, private bedrooms, and access to the surrounding natural beauty are dominant features. No detail was overlooked when completing these luxury homes. Each one provides a different view of the spectacular mountain vistas.

The Mountain Club is an enclave of custom-designed mountain homes with wood-burning stone fireplaces.

This Scotch Highlands Loop home is a two story home with a large King master bedroom with a steam shower upstairs. Downstairs you will find a second king bedroom with private bathroom with double vanities, and a third bedroom with two twins with a private bathroom with double vanities, and a second family room. There is also a queen size pull out sofa in the family room. The kitchen and dining room are located on the main level of the home.

This private mountain residence club sits directly across from the entrance of the Sapphire Valley Resort. In addition to our own spacious facilities, members have access to all Resort Amenities.

Our families find peace, quiet, friends, and as much activity as one can experience.

The Perfect Family Mountain Get Away

We traveled to the Mountain Club as a family with little children and it was very accommodating! There was a full kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals at home and also a grill on the deck. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub nearly everyday. The pool toys that were there were a bonus! The cabin itself was spacious, homey, clean, and had everything that was needed throughout our stay (laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, coffee, etc.) We enjoyed going on hikes in the mornings to avoid afternoon scattered rain showers. Our favorites were Whiteside Mountain, Dry Falls, Rainbow and Turtleback Falls at Gorges State Park (bring your swimsuit!), and the swimming holes (Cashiers Sliding Rock and Silver Run Falls.) We did these hikes with a two and four year old. We loved eating at On the Side at the Farmers Market in Cashiers. There is an amazing play park for children and a short nature walk called The Village Green of Cashiers that we enjoyed a lot! We saw live local music at Whiteside Brewery that has a large field with toys, games and makes for a wonderful family experience. We rented a pontoon for a few hours on Lake Glenville and it was beautiful to see waterfalls only accessible from the water. The cabin was so centrally located to all of the best hikes, restaurants and activities. At the end of the day we sat on the screened in porch and enjoyed the privacy that we had in the beautiful mountain setting.”

Mountain Luxury Meets Small Town Charm

From the moment we arrived at Cashiers Mountain Club, we knew we were in for something special. Check-in was seamless and stress-free, setting the tone for a truly relaxing stay. The home itself was beautifully appointed and impeccably clean — every detail thoughtfully curated for comfort and a mountain style. We loved having access to the resort’s pool and hot tub, and the indoor pool and community center just across the street were a fantastic bonus. One of our favorite touches? The fridge was stocked with complimentary beverages — such a thoughtful and welcoming gesture. Beyond the home, the town of Sapphire and nearby Cashiers & Highlands offered so much to explore — from incredible hiking trails and Gorges State Park to charming local eateries and shops. It’s the perfect destination for nature lovers and foodies alike. We can easily see this being our go-to spring break getaway & can’t wait to return! Thank you ThirdHome and our wonderful host for an unforgettable mountain getaway. ”

We enjoyed our stay, with the cabin distribution, location and amenities perfectly fitting or exceeding our expectations. A good experience dinning in Cashiers and in The Highlands, as well as visiting and hiking in the nearby waterfalls. Superb. Highly recommended.”
