Tucked into Tahoe City’s coveted West Shore, this charming rustic cabin offers a rare blend of walkable convenience and classic Sierra character. Just a few houses from the lake, the home places guests within effortless reach of Tahoe’s shoreline, bike paths, and beloved local spots, creating a setting where mornings begin with lakeside strolls and evenings end with golden sunsets over the water.

Inside, the cabin embraces its cozy, authentic mountain feel with warm wood interiors and a relaxed, welcoming layout. The living space centers around a wood-burning fireplace, creating the perfect place to gather after a day outdoors. Whether returning from the slopes or the lake, the space invites you to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the simple comforts of cabin living.

The kitchen and dining area are thoughtfully arranged for easy, casual meals, while maintaining a connection to the rest of the home. Upstairs, the two-bedroom layout offers a mix of comfort and character, including a king bedroom with a handcrafted log bed and a loft-style second bedroom with both queen and twin sleeping options. The home’s unique architectural details, like lower ceilings and rustic finishes, add to its charm and sense of place.

Outdoor living is a highlight, with a spacious porch and an unusually large yard for Tahoe City. The setting provides room to relax, play, and enjoy the fresh mountain air, whether sipping coffee in the morning or unwinding after a day of adventure. The proximity to the lake makes it easy to walk down for a swim, paddle, or sunset view at a moment’s notice.

Year-round, the location offers exceptional access to everything Lake Tahoe is known for. In summer, walk or bike to beaches, cafes, and water rentals without dealing with traffic. In winter, world-class skiing is just minutes away, with Homewood nearby and Palisades Tahoe a short drive. With its unbeatable location and authentic cabin charm, this West Shore retreat offers a true Tahoe experience rooted in simplicity, nature, and connection.
Note: low ceilings, rustic cabin, shares same property lot as neighbors in front house.

INFO:
Always carry chains when heading to Tahoe in the winter, check road conditions with www.dot.ca.gov. It has been rare for us but sometimes weather can get so bad that both 4WD and snow chains are required. Weather can be checked via the National Weather Service www.weather.gov.
We can’t offer refunds or discounts for road or weather conditions, or internet/wifi/power outages/smoke from fires There is no cable/satellite but there is a chromecast, local channels and Netflix.
Our place was purchased because we wanted a place for our toddler daughter to actually have a yard to play in and experience the outdoors unlike our small apartment in the city. It is the only home we own so please take care of it so that our family, friends, and guests can enjoy it for years to come. It is a rustic 1940s summer cabin with updates.
Please contact us immediately if there is an emergency or damage. If there is anything missing or item you think we should get please let us know. Our place is a work in progress.
I hope that you will enjoy your time in Tahoe as much as we do. Have a great time and enjoy your stay!

ARRIVAL INFORMATION:
Pull left into the driveway and the house is at the end of the driveway. Watch your step when getting out of car. It can be VERY ICY in the winter! Lockbox with the key is on side door knob of the house.
There is a heater on your left when you open the front door. Feel free to use the wood on the porch for the fireplace. There are also electric plug in heaters upstairs (turn to medium or the breaker might switch off; breaker to the right of front door upon entering). Extra blankets and linens are in the upstairs closet. We have never needed to use the heathers upstairs in the summer.
