This lovely unit is perfectly placed facing the base of the gondola. Full corner balcony patio was amazing! Warm and cozy luxury cabin interior. Well appointed unit, amazing onsite managers, and nice pool area. Truckee is an adorable town with great food, views and shopping. Lake Tahoe is a quick drive. Shuttle available from the resort although we had a car. We were there in the summer. I can only imagine how dreamy it is covered in snow. ”

A family stay

The property at Catamount Terrace at Northstar was exceptional. A beautiful property, with many amenities, and covered parking. The kitchen was well appointed with about everything needed for a week stay. There were several restaurants in the area and options for other activities. Only a short drive to Lake Tahoe. ”

Fabulous Third Home stay

Was not sure what to expect having never been to Northstar Ski resort. The resort itself had a great little village and great skiing at all levels. Catamount Terrace was an ideal place to stay while skiing here. The unit was well maintained and had everything we needed to cook and feel like home. It was spacious and was absolutely ski in and ski out. The Tahoe Mountain Lodge, ski club access was nice though the hours were short. Great lunch up at the top of the mountain. The property manager was responsive and left little for us to do upon departure. Cannot recommend this place more highly for a great ski week. ”

Another Fabulous Memory Making Family Ski Trip

Love the location of this end unit! We can see the Gondola and watch the grandkids gather for their ski lessons right from the balcony! Northstar is one of a kind. The shopping, the ice skate rink with the firepits all around, the grocery store for emergency items like butter and milk, all make this ideal for a large family with all ages! The unit we stayed # 314 is set up nicely and even had an extra twin folding mattress that we ended up using for our grandson. The pillows and extra blankets and furniture were very nice! We will definitely go back again and again! ”

Great place to stay.

We really enjoyed this luxurious, spacious condo with a beautiful balcony. Saw a bear a couple of times who apparently also loves Northstar. (He was quickly encouraged to move on by the staff with a horn.) Great gym, lap pool and hot tubs are all close by. ”

Off-Season Serenity

Great stay at this amazing Tahoe Jewel. Well appointed and roomy space with great amenities and views including fireplace and outdoor patio. We used the gym and hot tub. Only downside was that timing was between ski and cycling seasons. we knew that going in, so enjoyed the peace and quiet. Staff was very helpful and check-in and parking were simple. The location is great, furnishings very nice, all the necessary amenities such as towels, dishes, silverware, soap etc. It’s also very easy to park underground. We would highly recommend it. And Owner was a delight to work with.”

Fires and smoke nearby shortened our stay, but lovely property

Owner of this unit and Thirdhome.com refunded our fees and keys after we had to evacuate after two nights. But, while there the property was amazing. We have stayed here before and love the location and the staff.”

We enjoyed our stay. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions there was a lot to do with hiking, biking, etc. With Lake Tahoe and Truckee closeby there were plenty of attractions and services. The apartment was very spacious, clean and well equipped. The manager was very responsive and helpful. We will love to return. ”

Relaxing time at Northstar

We had the most wonderful week in Northstar Lake Tahoe! Catamount Terrace was wonderful, spacious and fully functional with a beautiful view of the gondola. The outdoor living space was relaxing. Unfortunately we chose a week there when Northstar was a ghost town so nothing was open. But we went into town and thoroughly enjoyed the quieter time at Tahoe. We definitely use this place again.”

Loved our stay!

We loved our stay here! This condo is in a fantastic location in Norstar Village. It has a great layout a very large wraparound deck that overlooks a plaza and very convenient underground parking with an elevator that goes right up to the condo. The unit is well stocked with things for cooking plenty of furniture and all the items one might expect. Northstar in the summer is great for hiking taking the gondola to go mountain biking or going into Truckee and or exploring the lake. The condo also gives you access to one of the pools and two gyms the pool is about a five minute walk.”

Northstar convenience

This condo is fabulous! It's big, comfortable, homey and keeps with the traditional mountain/Tahoe furnishings and decorations. The kitchen was appointed beautifully and had everything we needed to cook for our group. The location was ideal with easy access to restaurants and the gondola. We can't wait to come back over the winter!”

Good for some, not for us

This is the perfect property for avid skiers and mountain bikers as it sits at the base of the lift. The property was typically mountain cabin style with a great kitchen and lovely bathrooms. For us older folk, however, it was not a fit. It's situated over The Tavern which was loud on the weekend, and as you are essentially living in a mall which pipes out continuous "music," we found it an annoying environment throughout the week, especially if you wanted to sit on the balcony. Street cleaners started early in the mornings, and roused us from our slumber. The rooms were quite dark and the view mostly of the condos across the "street" though a slice of the start of the lift offered a bit of hillside. The property manager was incredibly available and supportive in navigating the complex media, though once understood, offered lots of choices. Bottom line, good for those who will spend all their time outside and will enjoy the social atmosphere of mall living. ”

Wonderful, Great Location

Great property in the heart of the Village. This unit is on the 3rd floor with a very large wraparound balcony. Nice amenities at Tahoe Mountain Club facilities, including access to fantastic Schaffer's Camp - the best place for lunch at Northstar! Fully stocked kitchen with lots of spices, etc. in the pantry. Property management company is friendly and helpful. Would love to go back! ”

Superb experience

Located just 10 minutes from Kings Beach, it was the perfect place to retreat back to after a day at the lake. We loved the home and location! It was sparkling clean and everything is luxurious. The wrap around balcony has relaxing views of the Northstar ski lift base. We were there during the summer months and watched folks accessing the chair lift for the mountain biking trails spread all across the mountain. Just a few steps out of the front door, from the elevator, are tasty restaurants, boutiques and a skating ring. It's a great place for families! The twinkling lights at night added to the ambience. Parking was easy and underground. We did not access all the amenities that were available and there are plenty. The staff made the experience perfect. ”

Incredible summer getaway

Our family had such a wonderful time at the Catamount Lodge. The condo was gorgeous and had everything we needed! It was spacious and conveniently located in Northstar village. The wrap around balcony was perfect for early morning coffee and reading time or relaxing after a busy day. The village had a lot of great things for the kids to do; roller skating, trampoline jumping, gem rock searching and an obstacle climb. We enjoyed dinner in the village and making smores at the fire pits in the evening. We also took a ride up in the gondolas and hiked down the mountain. Overall, a great trip and we can't wait to go visit soon! ”
