March 2026Great Smoky Mountain Getaway Close to Downtown Gatlinburg Pky and Pigeon Forge Strip
Our family had a wonderful stay at Mountain Majesty at Rambling Ridge Lodge during our first visit to the Smoky Mountain area in Gatlinburg, TN. The location was excellent, and the mountain views were absolutely amazing. There was plenty of space for our family of four which included two adults and two kids. The kids especially loved the indoor pool, which was a huge highlight of our stay. The property was conveniently located about 20 minutes from the Gatlinburg Strip, where we enjoyed so many attractions and restaurants. Some of our favorites were SkyPark, with its breathtaking scenic views and unique SkyBridge with the glass bottom, The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar for incredible milkshakes, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, and Ripley’s Aquarium. We also enjoyed dining at The Park Grill and Tennessee Jed’s for lunch. The lodge was also about 35 minutes from the Pigeon Forge strip, where we visited The Island, The Pirate Dinner Show, and Flavortown Arcade. The kids absolutely loved Flavortown Arcade so much that we went back several times during our stay. My husband and I also really enjoyed the moonshine tastings at Ole Smoky in both Gatlinburg and at The Island. The only caution I would mention is that while the outdoor area was beautiful, there is a very steep ledge near the firepit, so families with young children should use extra care. Overall, we had a great experience and made wonderful memories here. It was a fantastic home base for exploring both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.”
