April 2025A wonderful stay in the Château De Saint Sever!
The chateau is an excellent choice for small gatherings of friends and family and is well situated for easy day trips to the beach, Cognac, Saintes, La Rochelle and Bordeaux, amongst others. Not surprisingly there is also a plethora of excellent wineries/distilleries in the area and well worth exploring as well. The chateau was extremely comfortable and had plenty of room for our group and included a very well appointed kitchen that made for very easy and convenient meal preparation. Most noteworthy was the enthusiastic and helpful communications from the owners that included many suggestions that were pursued and well enjoyed. The local property manager was also extremely helpful and offered suggestions for places to go nearby. The easy walk to the fermiers is well worth the stroll as the place is a delight and welcomed these out of towners with warmth. Highly recommended property!! ”
