June 2025Wonderful Experience in Istria
Our group of three couples had a wonderful stay at Casa Leccino. The Istrian peninsula of Croatia is a below-the-radar gem with beautiful scenery, hilltop villages, coastal towns, and vineyards, all within an hour drive of the villa. For what initially appeared to be a quaint village, Brtonigla surprised by offering numerous high quality restaurants, and the food, drink, and service far exceeded expectations. For wine drinkers it is helpful to familiarize yourself with Croatian wines (Malvasia, Grk, Posip, Plavac mali, etc.) prior to the trip; I watched a video and created a 'cheat sheet' which was very helpful when presented with the wine list. Our host Sandi was anxious to please and his dining recommendations were much appreciated; we were fortunate to meet him and his wife in person on our day of departure. Our early July week was quite warm and we appreciated the A/C and used the pool every day. Thanks for hosting us, we have great memories. ”

The house is very clean, spacious, comfortable, modern(only two years old),well equipped and decorated, with a beautiful setting, from the first floor you can see the Adriatic Sea.Several nice restaurants are available in the village. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would consider to come back in the future. August 2024Lovely home in great location
Casa Leccino is a well appointed, very clean home in a small, delightful hill town with restaurants within walking distance. We used the location as a base to explore the Istrian peninsula of Croatia and southern Slovenia. Sandi was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. ”
