Luxurious Montreal Flat Facing Lafontaine Park

This picturesque flat is nestled on 2970 square feet directly in front of Montreal’s very own Central Park, Lafontaine. Featuring two bedrooms and located in la Plateau Mont-Royal, one of Montreal’s most coveted neighborhood, this stunning flat is perfect for your next getaway!

This unique flat was constructed before 1900 and retains much of its historic character and charm in its design. The original woodwork of the old build can be found in the home, but you’ll also find an extensive renovation, including modern amenities in the kitchen and living room. The living spaces are bright and open, with plush and comfortable furniture set against a pristine white backdrop.

The dining room and kitchen are situated in the same space, creating a lovely spot for entertaining guests and cooking dinner as a family. While the rest of the home boasts old world charm, the kitchen is sleek and modern, featuring a polished, large center island and silver barstools where you can settle in with a glass of wine and watch the master chef at work. If the weather permits, there’s a charming alfresco dining set up in the garden that’s perfect for the summer.

This beautiful home is ideally suited for couples, with two private bedrooms that offer a queen and king bed respectively. Each bedroom features high-end linens and bedding, and each full bathroom has soothing, heated floors and ample amounts of space to primp and preen. The queen bedroom, located in the basement ,is set in an earthy, unique brick-walled room, sure to offer seclusion and comfort.

Just north of downtown Montreal, La Plateau sprawls from the edge of the emblematic mountain to the colorful, tree-lined streets that provide beauty and ambiance. This amazing neighborhood is the nerve center of Montreal’s trendsetting cultural scene, and home to a unique, multicultural mix of bustling shopping strips and charming cafes. Often regarded as the hippest place in the city, you’ll love exploring tastefully decorated eateries, beautiful art galleries, and vintage shops. Make sure you explore Mile End, where you’ll find shops, delicious bites, and next level-lattes – not to mention authentic, Montreal-style bagels!

Experience Montreal from the vantage point of this trendy, eclectic neighborhood.

Magnificence in Montreal

I am rarely at a loss for opinions, and have never met a word limit I couldn’t exceed. So I looked forward to writing a novella-length review describing this extraordinarily gorgeous apartment; its diverse, beautiful neighborhood full of shops, food markets, cafés and restaurants; its superb location within walking distance of Metro and buses and many of Montreal’s must-see sights; and its friendly, helpful owner, Carole. And then I read previous guests’ reviews and realized there is nothing I can add. I second, third, and fourth every word they have written. The apartment is the cleanest human dwelling I have ever set foot in. The quality of the art, the architectural detailing, the high-end materials, and the creature comforts for cooking, bathing, and keeping cool in 100-degree temperatures is top of the line. The impeccable renovation retains the apartment’s old-world charm while in-filling it with modern design classics, and state-of-the-art lighting, appliances, and electronics (bring your Ph.D. in smart digital controls). The quality of the furnishings, books, and magnificent glass vases, bowls, “objets,” and artworks throughout the apartment gave me a warm feeling of being trusted and respected by the owner. It made me want to treat the apartment with the same care and respect shown to me. (I even, God help me, found myself cleaning for the cleaners.) I’ll close with a couple tips. I drove to Montreal but wanted to stash my car for the week since I didn’t anticipate needing it, and parking in the neighborhood is by permit only or those pay-and-display machines. The Montreal Olympic Stadium garages offer an eight-day parking pass (no in-and-out privileges), for $45 CAD (about $33 USD). You can buy it in advance from the stadium website. You can then take the Metro from the stadium to the apartment—a quick and easy trip. If you enjoy using public transportation (which in Montreal is clean, safe, and speedy), you can purchase transit passes good on all buses and Metro lines. I bought a weekend- and five-day pass to cover my stay. The kind lady at the Metro booth even took my photo for the card. This apartment is a “find.” You can book it with confidence, knowing that it will be a marvelous base for exploring Montreal. ”

It does not get any better than this in Montréal!

We had the best stay at Luxurious Montréal Flat facing Lafontaine Park. Everything worked like a swiss watch. Just perfect! The flat is beautiful and has absolutely the best location you can ask for in Montréal in the Plateau area, right in front of the most beautiful park in the city: Lafontaine. The property has everything you can possibly need. Is big, georgeous, luxury, equipped with high end appliances and decorated with top-nocht materials and very refined beautiful taste. Everything is taken care of beyond detail. Nothing is missing. Being honest, the flat is a lot better than what you see in the description pictures. The two floors offer complete privacy for the two bedrooms (each with its own private bathroom) while providing outdoor and indoors comfortable space to enjoy social gatherings. Everything you need is within walking distance: restaurants, grocery, liquor, metro, all kind of stores, etc. Some of the restaurants where you eat iconic Montréal food (poutin, bagels, smoked meat sandwiches, Portuguese grilled chicken, etc) are just a few steps away. Very lively streets full of bars, restaurants and stores, like Mont-Royale, Rachel, Duluth and Saint-Denis are right there, literally around the corner, for you to enjoy. The plateau is the area where you can see and experience the real Montreal. Away (but not far) from the tourist spots like Rue Saint-Catherine, Places des Arts and the Vieux Port and downtown. I have been to Montréal five times before and never enjoyed the city like I did staying at the Plateau, away from the tourist areas. Last, our host, Carole, was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had permanent contact during our stay. As a true Montrealer, she would give the best advice on everything needed even if it is not related to the property. She knows very well the city and everything it has to offer. Thanks a lot Carole for taking such good care of us and for all your advice on what to do and where to go. I would definitely stay here again. Now that I know the real Montréal and have discovered some of the secrets kept for locals, I certainly want to return. Montréal is a beautiful city where you will feel in Europe with the Canadian hospitality of its gentle people. Staying at this property is the perfect complement for a perfect stay. Go to Montréal, stay at this flat, you will not regret. ”

Great Location. Gorgeous Home. Wonderful Hostess.

What more can one ask for? This spacious gorgeous 2-bedroom home is across from a big park and near to MANY WONDERFUL restaurants. We tried a different restaurant for breakfast and dinner everyday…food is good in Montreal. The hostess is helpful, kind, and generous. My brother and I had a great time exploring Montreal and Mont Royal. Highly recommend!!!!”
