Description

Spectacular Oceanview Condo: Stylish and Serene

Enjoy urban sophistication in a tropical setting from our top-floor, corner condo in the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Sunlight fills the space and the lanai faces west, for a shaded breakfast area during the heat of the day, and fantastic sunsets as the evening breezes rise. Simply put, this is the Vista's best view.
An ideal spot for romance, retreat, or recharging, please consider us.

Our Place:

We are on the top floor, and did we mention the ocean view?

Our two bedroom condo has been renovated and styled as an easy-on-the-eye sanctuary that celebrates the bay. We pursued our dream resort-home ideal, always favoring thoughtful indulgence and high-end furnishings for our guests. The aesthetic is urban loft space in crisp white-on-white with espresso wood floors, and measures 1260 interior square feet, Beautifully apportioned with generous public spaces, with a 340 square foot wrap-around lanai.

The condo is tastefully and comfortably appointed, and the kitchen is well-equipped: SubZero refrigerator, convection and microwave ovens, ceramic cooktop, Bosch dishwasher, spice rack and sharp knives, utensils and tableware all on hand.

The beds are low platforms with memory-foam toppers over foam bases, with down pillows.

Waikoloa and the Big island:

The Waikoloa Beach Resort is a dedicated resort area arrayed along A-Bay, a sheltered, crescent salt-and-pepper beach that is home to quite a few sea turtles. There are two major hotels and two shopping centers geared to tourists' needs along the resort's main drive.
This tiny section of the Kohala Coast has the best weather on the islands: with less than 10 inches of rain annually, the winds and water are often calm in the morning, giving way to offshore breezes in the evening as the cool descends from Mauna Kea. Temperatures commonly top out at 81ºF (27ºC) from September-May, and 84ºF (29ºC) June-August.

The abundance of sea life on the Kona Coast makes the island a world-class dive and snorkeling destination. The whales may be in during your stay — look for mother-calf pairs cavorting in A-Bay while you enjoy your breakfast on the lanai (Dec-April).

One of the Big Island's many pleasures is its innocence -- beyond the resort areas, it's far less cosmopolitan than Oahu or Maui, and far less traveled. You can make a day of discovering little beaches to call your own, you can get out in the country and be with real people very quickly, and there are many sacred sites to visit -- it's a more spiritual, less commercial Hawai'ian experience. There's still plenty of Old Hawai'i here. It's also incredibly diverse, geographically: with 8 of the planet’s 13 biomes represented, you can almost pinpoint the transition from 'dry side' / Kona lava field to 'wet side' / Hilo rain forest as you venture afield.

Our goal is for you to feel that blissful sigh of expectations exceeded as you make yourself at home in Hawai'i. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Beautiful week in Paradise in May

Vista Waikoloa is the perfect location to explore the Big Island. The condo is spacious and beautifully appointed with a huge lanai to take in the tropical breezes while you sip your morning coffee, and to enjoy a gorgeous sunset with a glass of wine in the evening. The master bathroom is stunning with a huge marble shower and separate clamshell-like tub outfitted with mood lighting, as well as a double sink with plenty of room to spread out while you prep for the day. The master kingsize bed is adjustable and so comfortable that you can forget about those restless nights. We were sound asleep as soon as our heads hit the cushy pillows. The huge sofa is a great place to curl up with a book after a day at the beach snorkeling, or a round of golf. My favorite place was on the lounge chairs on the lanai, making sketches from the day's adventures and of the birds that were singing all day. With Vista Waikoloa as our homebase, we saw everything we wanted to see on the Big Island. The community pool and jacuzzi are just a short walk from the condo and was not crowded at all during our stay. Often we were lucky and had the entire facility to ourselves. We could walk to the bay to see the gorgeous sunset over the water or to dinner at the local outdoor marketplaces. We often left early to visit adjacent beaches like Mauna Kea where you can park in the limited beach access spaces (but they can fill up by 7:30am on weekends). The snorkeling in the morning hours was amazing, since the waters are calmer and the undersea aquarium of tropical fishes are all feeding. Judith and Brandon are fantastic hosts. They provided us with a welcome gift and their Waikoloa handout was incredibly informative. We took their suggestions and made reservations for the Moonlight Manta Ray swim at the Mauna Kea, a magical event that I cannot recommend more highly. We also visited the Seahorse Farm in Kona and some farmer's markets to buy the fresh fruits and snacks. They have a wealth of knowledge of the area, and are extremely accessible. We took Judith's advice and lined up early at Sensei for 50% off items on the menu and had a sushi extravaganza. Our week at their condo was perfect. The amenities at the unit are so thoughtful. Beach towels, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, insulated bag for snacks, cold filtered water in the fridge, awesome espresso machine, extra charging cords in kitchen and bedroom and much more. We didn't use the second bedroom, but it was also beautifully appointed with another huge bed, separate bathroom and sliding privacy doors. We would definitely return to this pristine and gorgeous oceanview condo on our next visit to the Big Island! ”

Wonderful Waikoloa condo

Thank you for sharing your lovely Hawaiian home with us. The views are wonderful and we certainly enjoyed the lanai. The condo was well appointed and very comfortable. We used the barbecue area to cook the Hawaiian fish we purchased. After an active day it was nice to swim in the warm pool and have dinner on the lanai to watch the sunset. A perfect evening. The location was great. Convenient for walking to the beach or shopping centers. Everything was in the area so we did not leave the Waikoloa area very often. We had a wonderful vacation.
